If I were to write a review two years ago, it would have been much better. I had been coming here for a number of years, but the last couple of times I went over the last few months, the nail techs seemed rushed and careless. The last two or three times I went, I’d end up bleeding and sore from getting skin pulled or cut that should not have been. You should only be cutting DEAD skin! I was never paranoid about getting manis or pedis done because they were always painless, but my last few visits here and paranoia has set in. I also don’t find the staff to be too friendly. The best thing about this place these days is the owners dog.
I’ve started going to Binh’s Harvest Hills and the experience has been much better. The staff seems so much friendlier and attentive and quality of work has been better. I will never go back to the Tamarack Binh’s.

Terrible Experience – Disrespectful Manager & Poor Service

If I could give zero stars, I would.

I had a highly disappointing and upsetting experience at this salon. I got my manicure and pedicure done on Friday, and by Monday, most of the gel polish had peeled off — clearly showing poor quality and lack of proper application (photos attached).I have paid 100$ for this third class service and product.

To make matters worse, when I tried to explain my situation to the manager, she was incredibly rude and dismissive. She wouldn’t even look at me or stand near me as I spoke. I felt ignored and disrespected.

When I went back to the salon to request a refund or at least a redo, the manager was extremely rude. I calmly asked to see their refund policy in writing, but she refused. Instead, she said, “This is my place, my rules. Get out or I’ll call 911.” This was very unprofessional and shocking.
I continued to ask politely for a resolution — either a refund or a free service as compensation — and she still refused. To my disbelief, she actually called 911 on me while I was still trying to resolve the issue respectfully.
I felt disrespected, disappointed, and extremely uncomfortable with how I was treated. I called my boyfriend for support, and for our safety, we also contacted 911 to file a complaint about her behavior. There has been no response from the salon since then.
This whole experience has been deeply upsetting. I would not recommend this place to anyone. No customer deserves to be treated like this — especially when raising a valid concern about poor service.

For the price and what was promised, this was a complete waste of money and time. I do not recommend this place and will not be returning. If you value your time and money, I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere.

This place literally sucks so so bad. I made the worst mistake coming here just to get a simple acrylic fill with super short nails and wanted basic white french tips and they couldn’t even do french tips for me and the lady mentioned she’s been doing nails for 10 years…. I sat there for 3 hours while she kept trying to even out the thickness of my nails, shape and to get the French tip correct. I ended up feeling so beyond frustrated and asked her to just wipe all the French tips off because it was so noticeably un even and hideous work. I ended up leaving the nail salon with just the basic base color and I sat in my vehicle crying as I was so upset and I paid $50+ for this horrible experience and wasted 3 hours of my time. I’ve been getting my nails done for 10+ years and I’ve never ever had such bad service. I would NOT recommend this place what so ever. They are horrible!!!! Please please do not go here. Nails cost a lot and I would not invest it here. There’s many more nail places that do a FAR much better job.

WORST NAIL SALON . Nails done here and did not last even for a week. 3 days into it , it starts peeling off. I paid extra for the double coating which came off in a day. BIGGEST RECOMENDATION don’t get your nails done here. It’s the worst service I’ve ever gotten.

This was one of the worst place i have ever heard in Canada. The service provided was very upsetting. They did not do proper nails and plus on top of that they did very bad service. Nails were peeled off just in two days and had no respect to fix it !! Very disappointing. The initial service was bad and on top of it no concern of it to fix it. Even if it’s close to your house guys please don’t go it’s not even worth a penny !!

Very very very bad service !!
